By using FrDict (the app and frdict.com) you agree to the following terms. Please read them before you start.
1. The service
FrDict provides a French dictionary along with vocabulary learning, review and practice features. The free version can be used right away; Pro adds cloud sync, listening and read-aloud, all practice modes and more.
2. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method safe. If you find someone else using your account, contact us right away.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Pro is billed monthly (4.99 CAD) or yearly (39.99 CAD) through the App Store or Google Play. It renews automatically within the 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel at any time in your device settings; Pro stays active until the end of the current period. Refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s rules. FreeTCF Pro members can also use FrDict Pro while their membership is active. Prices may change, and we will tell you before they do.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t scrape the dictionary in bulk, get around membership limits, interfere with the service, or use it for anything illegal.
5. Content and intellectual property
Definitions and conjugations come from Wiktionnaire (CC BY-SA), word frequencies from Lexique 3 (CC BY-SA 4.0), and some example sentences from Tatoeba (CC BY 2.0 FR), each credited under its licence. All other content, the interface and the code belong to us.
6. Disclaimer
We work hard to keep definitions and exam sources accurate, but we can’t promise they are error-free, or that using FrDict will get you a particular exam score. The service is provided “as is”.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for FrDict in the previous 12 months.
8. Termination
You can stop using FrDict and delete your account at any time. If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
